CLINTON — Ms. Edith Yvonne Bass Wilson, 68, of 498 Byrd Yancey Bass Rd. passed away at Sampson Regional Medical Center Saturday Oct. 5, 2024.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born on May 28, 1956 in Guilford County, Edith was the daughter of the Rosa Byrd Bass and the late Carl Duell Bass. She was a retired School Bus Driver with Sampson County Schools and a member of the Beulah Baptist Church. She loved her dogs and was an avid yard salesperson.
She is survived by her boyfriend, Gary O'Neil of the home; two daughters, Wendy Tyndall of Roseboro and Lee Tyndall of Roseboro; two sisters, Betty Smith and husband, Charles of Turkey and Sylvia Pope and husband, Patrick of Clinton; two brothers, Larry Bass and wife, Gail of Sanford and Wayne Bass and wife, Catherine of Clinton; four grandchildren, Mason Tyndall, Madison Tyndall, Jeremiah Thompson, Riley Thompson;several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Bryant.
The family will receive friends Monday night Oct. 7, at Royal-Hall Funeral Home from 6 til 8 p.m. and other times at the home of her mother, Rosa Bass, 1181 Reedsford Rd., Clinton.
