James "Big Henry" Sessoms, 65
AUTRYVILLE — Mr. James Henry "Big Henry" Sessoms, 65, of 882 Pumpkintown Road, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at Duke University Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jeff Bartlett and the Rev. Glenn Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Sessoms was born on July 27, 1949 in Sampson County to the late Preston and Lillian Riner Sessoms. He worked for the Department of Transportation for 38 years as a Roadside Environmental Maintenance Worker.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Autry Sessoms of the home; two daughters, Jodie Parker of Roseboro, and Melissa Johnson and husband Rafael of Roseboro; two sons, Jim Sessoms and wife Cynthia of Meadow, and Robert Sessoms of Autryville; three brothers, Lee Sessoms of Jacksonville, Fla., Perry Sessoms of Autryville and Ervin Sessoms of Autryville; one sister, Bell Autry of Roseboro; seven grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Heidi Terry, Ashley Johnson, Destiny Sessoms, Christalyn Parker, Preston Sessoms and Samuel Johnson; and one great-grandchild, Bella Grace Terry.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3645 Dunn Road, Roseboro, and other times at the home.
