James Woodcock Obituary
James "Jimmy" Woodcock, 80, of 1056 Pearson Road passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025
He was born in 1945 in New Hanover County to the late Jack and Jane Woodcock. Jimmy was a hardworking man who loved traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jane Woodcock.
Graveside service will be held Sunday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at Clinton Cemetery at the Cross.. The family will receive visitors after the service at the home, 1056 Person Road, Clinton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Woodcock of the home; children, James McKenzie and wife Cynthia, John Marcus Woodcock and wife Renee, and daughter Jessica Burgess and husband Jimmy.
Grandchildren include Maison Woodcock and fiancée Kara, Nicholas Woodcock, Alexandra Woodcock, Zachary Woodcock and wife Jordan, Nathaniel Hogan Woodcock, and loving grandsons Jackson Woodcock, Allen Burgess and wife Lauren, Alston Burgess and Mary, Michael Burgess, and Ryan Burgess.
Surviving siblings include Jack Woodcock and wife Kathy, Joyce Webb and husband David, Jennie Jernigan, Jerry Woodcock, and Betsy Woodcock.
Great-grandchildren include Presley, Bryson, Carson, Langston, and Kaylee, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
