Joseph "Joe" Anders, 69
HARRELLS — Mr. Joseph "Joe" Gregg Anders, 69, of 33 Yorktown Lane, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, N.C.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Harmony Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Herbert Pate officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Anders was a retired civil engineer and also veteran of U.S. Army. He also operated the General Store in Kerr Station for many years.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Pate Anders, of Harrells; one sister, Peggy A. Carter of Clinton; two step-children, Lynn and David of New Bern, N.C.; and one step-grandchild, Alexis.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
