Julius Augustus "Buck" Hales
AUTRYVILLE — Mr. Julius Augustus "Buck" Hales, 86 of Autryville went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Hall's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jennifer Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the Lonie Carter Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 3-3:50 p.m. on Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
Mr. Hales was a native of Sampson County, the son of Paul and Ola Matthews Hales. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Retha Carter Hales; a sister, Joyce Ann Hales and an adopted daughter, Lucy Harris.
He was retired owner and operator of First Aid and Safety Sales. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and a member of Hall's United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Rose Marie Reeves and husband, Jimmy of Autryville; four grandchildren, Jessica Rogers and husband, Blake of Holly Springs, Jerica D'Amico of Stedman, Anna Quinones and husband, Shaquinn of Godwin and Charlotte Reeves of Texas; four great grandchildren, Bowen Rogers, Fallon Rogers, Raylan D'Amico and Levi Hall; a sister, Frances Lewis of Charlotte and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hall's United Methodist Church, 4621 Minnie Hall Road, Autryville, NC 28318
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro St., Roseboro, NC.
