Sueetta McDaniel, 70, of Clinton, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. within the Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Visitation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the home of Billy McDaniel, at 116 Colonial Drive, Clinton other times throughout the week.
Due to the inclement weather expected, burial will be held at another time to be announced next week.
Sue was born on Feb. 23, 1955 to the late Edgar McDaniel and Laudis Warren. Sue had a great love for our country and our military and was a Civil War and antique collector. She also had a great passion for family heritage and learning about her ancestry.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Junior McDaniel. She is survived by her brother, Billy McDaniel of Clinton, and special friend Linda Wilkes and her daughter, Paula Champion of Clinton; sons, DJ Ammons (Brandy) of Clayton and Lodie Ammons (Kaye) of Clinton. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff of nurses and doctors at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
