I was a friend of Vivian's from high school and community college years. We were in the same program at our community college and had all the same classes so we rode to school together and I always remember that sweet smile early in the morning. Last time I saw her was 1995 but have thought of her often through the years. I will always remember her as a sweet soul. My thoughts are with her family and friends

Hearing this news was so hard to believe. Posting this in loving memory of a wonderful person. Will love you and miss you. Working with Vivian at Duke for many years led to some great times and those mean so much more. Rest in peace Viv, your work here on earth is done. Praying that God blesses and keeps your family comforted during the Holidays and in the days to come.
