Allen Cochran Obituary

Allen Ernest Cochran, Sr. 82, of Loganville, Georgia passed away peacefully on Christmas Morning, December 25, 2021 in his home from natural causes.

Allen was born in August of 1939 to the late James Cullen Cochran and Bessie Veale Cochran. He served his country in the United States Army for nearly three years, then returned home where he worked for thirty-four years as a surveyor with the State of Georgia before his retirement nearly thirty years ago. A loving son, husband, father and grandfather, he was a faithful member of the New Life Praise Center in Covington and loved God and his family more than anything. In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, his son, David Allen Cochran; his sister, Martha Will Castleberry and brother, Bobby Eugene Cochran, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Pamela Ray Cochran of Loganville, GA; daughter, Lisa Cochran Whaley and husband, Jeff of Cumming, Georgia ; son, Allen Ernest Cochran, Jr., "Ernie," of Mansfield, Georgia; grandchildren, Samantha Cochran Robinson and husband, Josh, Amber Whaley Denard and husband, Colby, Cory Cochran and wife, Danielle, Hannah Whaley and Tyler Cochran and wife, Meygan; nine great grandchildren and one sister Irene Barnard of Warner Robbins, Georgia. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Gum Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 8590 GA Hwy 196, Hinesville, GA 31313, with Pastor Justin Adams officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Army.

Active pallbearers will be Cory Cochran, Tyler Cochran, Josh Robinson, Ashley Ray, Colby Denard and Jeff Whaley. Please sign our guestbook online at www.jesupfuneralhome.com
