Daniel Phillips Obituary
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Diane Adrian Phillips and two children, Danna Kristin Phillips (Jeff Glazer) and Daniel Jason Phillips (Erica Gordon), and his much beloved granddaughter Brooke Taylor Glazer.
Danny came from a very large family to include his brothers Robert Phillips and Gary Phillips, and sister Patricia Phillips Cobb, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Danny was self-employed with seafood distributing. He was an avid fisherman and lived and breathed to tinker with cars, boats and anything with a motor.
His viewing will be at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at Daniel Siding Baptist Church with Brother Alfred Banks Sr. presiding. Burial will be in Daniel Siding Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Coley, Dusty Sauls, Cole Phillips, Chris Phillips, Chris Jones and Charlie Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Phillips, Dewayne Phillips, Jerry Phillips, Ellis Phillips, Danny Sauls, Donald Collins, Wallace Strickland, Wompie Sikes and Jerry Heath.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Daniel Phillips Memorial Fund at The Heritage Bank, P.O. Box 1009, Hinesville, GA 31310 in Danny's memory.

Diane, I went to school with Danny and meet your son Daniel at Liberty High, where my grandchildren (The Hoffer Children) went to school also. I saw him and knew immediately that he had to be related to Danny, so I ask of course. He looked exactly like I remembered Danny from school...I am so sorry for your loss and I pray that our Heavenly Father holds you all close to His side as you go through these sad days ahead...Let your wonderful memories of Danny and your family and friends be a comfort to you.

Well, "Rip" (as Danny called so many), will be greatly missed by so many people in Louisville. I think I saw Danny most Fridays for the past 20+ years. He always had shrimp to sell that he claimed were big enough to ride tricycles. I will certainly miss his humor each Friday. God bless and comfort his family during this difficult time.

My husband and I just learned about Danny's death and are so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine not having him pop in on Fridays to get our order and "tout" that he had the most beautiful shrimp & crablegs this week! I will truly miss his smiling face and the laughter he always brought with him.

Danny will be greatly missed. He was like a permanent fixture here @ Jefferson Hospital, u could count on seeing him every Friday....he always had a smile on his face and had something funny to say. We will certainly miss our "Shrimp" man every Thursday. We loved his smile, but most of all his jokes. He always had a way of lifting our spirits. He loved his grandaughter will all of is heart.
