Fond memories of our "Mr. Ed" at the Kent Ohio, American Legion, where we had karaoke nights. He always brought a smile to our faces and was a dear friend, loved by all around him.

Ed, I found "Eagle Rock" that you and I stood on in the middle of Hilgert's fields just east of the strawberry patch. We declared it "Eagle Rock" and it became a sacred place. I used to visit it now and then. It's been rolled out of the field so they could plow. It is resting alongside the field in the woods near my old home there on Randolph road. Yeah, ... it is still a sacred place.

One story of many:
Uncle Eddie and his buddy Mickey Shaffer took me and uncle Johnny (Eddies little brother but same age as me) camping along the creek back behind Aunt Sophies when she was on Randolph Rd. Johnny and I got so eaten up by skeeters that Eddie and Mickey both got in big trouble from Grandma (Alice) when we came back the next morning. I also remember Mickey had given Johnny a pocket knife which grandma made him take back because he wasn't "old enough" for it. The things you remember huh. I'll miss you Eddie. And don't say ta-heh. BTW, I still use the hammer you gave me on a regular basis.
