George Guyett Obituary
He was a native and lifelong resident of Liberty County. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and retired from the Georgia National Guard at Fort Stewart after 23 years. He was a member of Live Oak Church of God in Hinesville.
He is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Earldine Guyett, and brothers, Ernie and Dennis Guyett.
Survivors are his wife, Wanda M. Guyett of Hinesville; son, George W. (Melissa) Guyett of Hinesville; daughter, Kathryn (Mark) Sharpe of Claxton; sister, Bobbie Deen (Buddy) Blake of Greeley, Colo.; brothers, Ken (Judy) Guyett of Hinesville and Russell (Kelly) Guyett of Hinesville; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Carter Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hinesville Cemetery with full military honors. They Rev. Paul Weldon will be officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be retired Guardsmen and members of Bulltown Hunting Club.

Wade has been my lifelong friend. Now he will be meeting his parents and siblings, and will rejoice with them in heaven. What a true and kind friend he has always been, and so very much fun to pal around with.
