Hubert Cooper Obituary
He was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Jacksonville to the late James Cooper and Lena Griffin Cochran. Hubert had lived in Hinesville since 1995 and was a long time member of the Shriners Club and a 32nd degree Mason.
Survivors include his son, Jeff; daughters, Debra Willey of West Palm Beach, Karen Koloniotis (Michael) of Jacksonville and Therese Lynn (Paul) of West Palm Beach; brother, Roy Cooper (Bonnie) of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 12, at in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Pastor Noel Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home beginning at noon. Call (904) 714-1110.

I miss you Grandpa. I was listening to one of the songs I sang to you at your funeral and tears started rolling. I know you are in such a good place and surrounded by our family in Heaven. There are no words for how thankful I am that we were able to spend more time together in the last two years than since I was a child. Uncle Jeff gave me some of your trinkets and I have them placed around the house. I think of you often and always fondly. I love you!

To my daddy. You were loved and you will be missed. You had 5 wonderful children who loved you. Kim left us way too early. I hope you are hugging her right now. I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Hubert passing. I will always remember that he had a hug for me every time he saw me. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in Florida. Know you're all loved. Take comfort knowing that he's with Granny and PaPa and Kimbo again and he gave us all some wonderful memories that will always be with us.

Dear Cooper Family,
So sorry to hear about Hurbert. We have not been in touch with any of you for a long time. We remember when we were all growing up on Phoenix Ave and then moved on to Highlands and San Mateo. There is not many of us left.

Dear Cousins, I wish I knew the words to comfort you, time seems to help heal the heart and remembering the moments we shared. Seems like only moments even though its a our earthly life time for us. So glad your Dad enjoyed the good life. We all seem so far away, but I loved my Uncle Hubert and love his children. We will all rejoice with our loved ones one day. God Blessed us all.
