Delmar Bates Obituary
11/30/1949-3/10/2012
Delmar was raised in Loomis and Colfax California. He was the most kind, gentle caring and soft spoken man. He served his country in Vietnam for the US Navy as a flight mechanic. He was a very hard working man and worked for Placer County as a bridge supervisor for 30 years. He loved horses, gardening, hunting, fishing and all animals.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Wyndy Bates of Silver Springs, Nev. and Karlyn Bates Gleaves of Meadow Vista, Calif. and his grandson, Timothy Lane Jr. of Silver Springs, Nev.
He will be reunited with his parents, Delmar and Buelah Bates, his wife, Sharon Haswell Bates, his brother, Eugene Bates and his son in law Brent Gleaves.
Delmar was a true warrior through his lengthy illness with Parkinson's Disease.
A celebration of Delmars life will be held on April 14, 2012, at 2pm at, 2742 Lake Dr. Meadow Vista, Ca. 95722.
In lieu of flowers please donate to Keep Tahoe Blue in his name.
