Susan Marie Kidwell passed away peacefully in her home with her family on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 after a four year battle with melanoma cancer.
Susan was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Florida before moving to the Sacramento area. She graduated from Loretto High School in 1983 and worked in the dental industry. She married Alan Kidwell in 1992 and joined him in Loomis where they raised their two children, Carly and Alan Jr. Susan's children were the joy of her life. Susan loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She was an entrepreneur and owned a boutique nursery in Roseville. She loved gardening, shopping and going to all her children's sporting events. Susan also loved her dog Gilligan who was ever at her side during her illness. Over the years, she was a volunteer at Franklin School, a Girl Scout leader and swim team board member. She also enjoyed spending time at Dillon's Beach and in Capitola.
She is survived by her supportive husband Alan; much-loved children, Carly and Alan Jr.; mother, Betty Taylor; brother, Tim Brazas; and sister, Bonnie Stoller.
Services for Susan Kidwell will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Janruary 6, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Loomis, on Brace Road. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Kidwell Family Fund or the new Del Oro Pool.
