Fort Collins - Raymond Reinhart Becker, 92, passed away at Centre Health and Rehab on August 2, 2018. Raymond was born to Emilie and Reinhart Becker on December 3, 1925 in Fort Collins, CO. He graduated from Fort Collins High School, and took great pride in being a native of Fort Collins. Immediately after graduation, Ray was drafted into the Army and was assigned to be a surgical technician on ships bringing home the wounded in World War II. He married Eleanor Stroh in 1944 and they had two children, Larry and Marilyn. Eleanor passed away in 1993, just short of celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. After returning home from the war, Ray learned the meat cutting trade, and was a meat market manager with Safeway until his retirement in 1992. He married Esther Lehr in 1995, and they got to spend precious time together traveling and taking numerous cruises until her passing in 2011. Ray treasured his family more than anything, and his proudest moments were of his two grandsons, Christopher and Cody Krueger. He cherished every moment with them, and as long as his health allowed, he attended all of their sporting and musical events. From the time they were old enough to hold a fishing pole, he would spend many weekends sharing his love and passion for fishing. Ray was a life long member of Plymouth Congregation Church, and held many positions in the church, and was always there to offer a helping hand. Ray had a kind and caring heart, and was always concerned for everyone else's welfare, even before his own. He valued each and every acquaintance he made.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Krueger (Michael), grandsons, Christopher Krueger, and Cody Krueger (Sarah), stepsons Ken Lehr (Marsha) and Larry Lehr (Lynn) and their children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor, son, Larry Becker, his parents, Emilie and Reinhart Becker, sister, Marie Meyer, and brother, David Becker.

Services honoring Raymond's life will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Plymouth Congregational Church, 916 W. Prospect Rd. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Roselawn Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Those who desire may view Mr. Becker from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
