A longtime resident of Westminster, CO, Carl V. Willmann, age 96, passed away on May 26, 2021 in Lakewood, CO. He was born June 23, 1924 in Greeley, CO, the youngest of 8 children born to Eva and Henrich Willmann. He was raised in Loveland, CO. He served as a Sergeant with the 1252nd Army Air Corp North African Ferrying Division in WWII, stationed in Casablanca, Morocco. In October 1947, he married Elnora Dietz and they had 2 daughters. Carl's passion was aviation; he was one of very few who worked for the original Frontier Airlines for more than 40 years progressing from a mechanic, lead foreman, to engineer and manager. He then started his own business specializing in aircraft leasing for airlines across the world.
Carl was predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters, 3 brothers and his wife. He is survived by his daughters Cheryl (Eric) Olin and Lynnette, his granddaughters Jessica (Adam) Riggs and Laura (Jim) Topper, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
