Dana Paul Crocker
1962 - 2021
Dana Paul Crocker, also known to many as "Daytona Dana", age 58, of Littleton, CO passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, on May 29, 2021. Born October 4, 1962 and a native to Colorado where he lived in Aurora, CO until age 23 then moved to Thousand Oaks, CA until 1999, before returning to the mile-high state.
He is survived by his daughter, Shanda Tillman (fiancé Chris) of Rifle, CO; grandson, Ryatt Hunter; mother, Paula (Husband Leon) Meurer of Parker, CO; father Dave (Wife Kay) Crocker of Foxfield, CO; step-mother Jo Doornbos of Paradise Valley, AZ; brother Darren (Wife Lacy) Crocker of Brighton, CO; brother Vernon Doornbos of Parker, CO; sister Susie (Husband Louis) LoSasso of Aurora, CO; nephew Colton (fiancée Meghan) Crocker, niece Kayla Doornbos, nephew Joey LoSasso, and nieces Makenna Crocker and Gracie Crocker.
Dana had countless friends that he met along his life's journey. He always went out of his way to help people and quickly befriended everyone he met. Pshhhh...he was the life of the party! Racing to the finish line a little earlier than anticipated, #78 - Daytona Dana - will no doubt race around heaven leaving rubber on the shiny white pearl roads as he takes the turns as fast as he can "around the outside". The air may be a little thinner there, but that won't stop him from tuning his carb and outrunning the best of the best.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Crocker Residence, 14121 Country Hills Drive, Brighton, CO on Sunday, July 18th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dana's honor to his favorite non-profit, Sparkling Kindness that helps those in need and sheds light on any darkness with a motto of "We rise by lifting others" just as Dana has done all through his life. www.sparklingkindness.org Venmo: @sparkling-kindness

Dana the Flame, where to start Dana was such a BLAST! Even when he was Sleeping, He could Light Up His Room! Just ask Connie K. Dana was a Great Worker and learned so quickly as he was an outstanding Telecommunications Expert! Dana the Prankster, it was impossible to become or even stay mad at Dana? as his sense of humor was beyond all of Us! He was a Smile!

Don´t even know where to start. Dana was such an outgoing guy. He was liked by everyone he met & always made you feel welcome. Always had a big smile & gave good hugs. Dana, you will be missed by so many people, family & friends. Even though it was a huge shock when we got the call from Lacy, I know you are one of my Angels now watching over all of us, celebrating & racing with our other racing family. Fly high, go fast & just know that you are loved & we will always remember all your stories. Truely missed, 78 Daytona Dana.

So many memories with my brother I could probably make a book out of them. It will be very difficult to go on without you being around, you were the life of the party and we had some good ones to. We were looking very forward to go to the Eagles concert with mom for her first concert. I’m glad we got to talk before you left for the airport you were worried about Yogi and wanted to see how he was doing and I love that about you, you were always kind and very loving.
Our last words together talking on the phone where I’ll see you when you get back ,I love you and Dana said ,I love you too.
I will always miss you and I’ll never stop mourning you,I will always love you, my big brother. There was nobody in the world like you. That’s what made you so special to all of us in your family and your friends all over this beautiful country.
#78 Daytona Dana Godspeed my brother, I hope you’re waiting for me at the finish line with the checkered flag

You were our neighbor and family for 18 years and your loss has been so hard. It's so hard to look out the window daily and know you won't be back. You were finally enjoying the life you worked so hard for. I'll miss talking racing with you and just having you around. I'll miss your hugs too. I never got my rides in the Ferrari or the Chevy. You were supposed to come home. The house has been too quiet since you left us unexpectedly. You were definitely the life of the party and were the kindest, most thoughtful guy. You will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will never forget you. My family misses you too. Especially William. We will always love you and never forget you Dana. Ride in Paradise my friend.
