Dolores Marie Munisteri of Evergreen, CO left us on July 12th, 2021 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Munisteri, her sister Joan Beach and her mother Marie Pinto. Laurie is survived by her 3 sons Jeff, Eric and Todd.
Dolores was better known by her friends as Laurie, a woman that was as social, friendly and charitable as they come. Even if it meant that it stretched her budget to the limit, she would make donations to the Evergreen Animal Protective League, purchase items from Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) and other local organizations. She was a member of TOPS (Taking off pounds Sensibly) and the Evergreen Christian Church (ECC) and is remembered to all who knew her as a social butterfly with a quick wit and a contagious laugh. She loved to laugh. She was a lover of animals and at one time, was the proud mama to three dogs and more cats than two hands could count.
Laurie lived in a modest home in Marshdale Park that was once owned by her best friend and mother, Marie. The home was a museum of collectibles and trinkets, each one having special meaning to her. Laurie saved EVERYTHING!
In her early years, she and her mother would spend their days drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes and watching soap operas, as if all three were "good" for you. Baking of deep-dish apple pies was a specialty of Laurie's, and boy, oh boy, were they delicious. Everyone looked forward to Christmas and her husband's birthdays…those were apple pie days!!
Laurie was an avid reader and found it exceedingly difficult to put a good book down. She spent many a night finishing a book in lieu of a good night's sleep and would often start another before she would put her head to the pillow.
Friends and family are invited to Laurie's celebration of life to be held at Evergreen Christian Church 27772 Iris Drive, Evergreen, CO 80439 at 1pm on Monday, July 19th, 2021. The service will be streamed live on ECC's FaceBook page and will be recorded for viewing on ECC's YouTube page. It is preferred that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Evergreen Animal Protective League.
