Golden Loses Living Landmark Donna Miller. Donna Edmondson Miller, one of Golden's Living Landmarks and biggest supporters passed away December 28th at her home. She is survived by her daughters Marcie Rae, Donna Jeanne and son Ronald Mark. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, CSM Professor Charles Samuel "Sam" Miller.Donna was born in Kansas City, MO on April 23, 1936, and first lived in Golden in married student housing at Mines in 1956 while Sam completed his undergraduate degree. From that point, she became an advocate for Golden's rich history, founding and serving as President of the Golden Landmarks Association for many years. She was instrumental in saving the Astor House from demolition in the 1970s. As a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, she welcomed many small businesses to Golden, and served on several volunteer committees in the community.She and Marcie opened CompuCopy on Washing-ton Avenue in 1983, and were a mainstay of down-town businesses for over a decade. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome for CSM students during the holidays.A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, January 6, 2017 at Cal-vary Episcopal Church in Golden at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Golden Land-marks Association.

Donna was a mentor in my life I had the privilege of working under her well at SERI.... she is one of the greatest boss is anyone could possibly have .

She trained me and taught me everything I needed to know to succeed in my job .... it was Donna Who insured I was hired without Donna's help I would never be where I am today .... thank you Donna
