Steve Martin Obituary
Steven was born February 7, 1967 in Albuquerque, NM. Subsequent moves took him to Massachusetts and California where he went to high school at the Christian Church School in Camarillo. He then went on to graduate from UC Santa Barbara and received advanced degrees from Biola and William Carey University. He went on to teach English six years in Japan where he met and married Chisa.
Steven was an accomplished photographer and was very popular for weddings, proms and graduations. He was most proud, however, of his nature photography (many times highlighted with scripture) and photos of Prairie Crossing Elementary School and Calvary Chapel activities.
When Channel 9News learned of his diagnosis and inspirational outlook on his journey ahead, they followed him for a week from physical therapy sessions through his retirement ceremony at Prairie Crossing. The Channel 9 segment has been viewed worldwide and can be seen at 9 News Parker teacher Steve Martin ALS Storyteller.
For the last three years Steven has been prolific on social media sharing his ALS journey - educating and inspiring thousands around the world, using an eye gaze computer to continue daily posts with humor, honesty and faith when he became incapacitated.
A service celebrating Steven's life and legacy will be held April 17, 10:00 AM at Calvary Chapel Aurora. The celebration will also be streamed live at live.calvaryco.church.

Hi Steve, I got to hear about you from your dad several weeks ago, when I was the volunteer at the front desk of the residence of Porter Hospice. Your dad beamed with forever father pride and delight over how you walked with God thru your diagnosis of ALS. I wrote your impressive story down that afternoon and just now watched your video. Your dad was right.
God is where the joy is and clearly you walked hand in hand with Him.
