Wesley Riber Obituary

Born and raised in Littleton, Wes graduated from Littleton High School in 1973. He moved on to a variety of careers, among them are Colorado State Trooper, Douglas County Deputy Coroner, Coroner and co-owner of a successful construction company with his wife, Julie in Denver and then Durango. Wes was a key legislative advocate for County Coroners of Colorado with standardization of certifications and salary equity until term-limited in 2011. He was known as a friend to all, since he never went anywhere that he didn't know someone. Wes leaves behind his wife, Julie, brother Bill (Martha) and many relatives and friends. Donations can be made in his name to Circus World Museum, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving circus history. Donations made to Circus World at 550 Water Street, Baraboo WI 53913 in memory of Wes Riber c/o Scott O'Donnell.

Julie,

We remember Wes so fondly, for so many reasons. Always could be counted on, always there to reach out and help when needed, such a steadying force in all things, his deep knowledge of Colorado and so many other subjects. And, of course, his wacky sense of humor.

He lives on in our stories told to our children, our memories written down, in our cherished pictures of him, and in our hearts.

Love you,

Rena
