ARTHUR EUGENE HALVORSON
November 29, 1946 ˜ June 23, 2023

Arthur (Art) was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Vancouver, WA. He spent much of his life in and around Clark County.
After graduating from Washougal High School in 1964, Art Joined the Air Force on Nov. 10, 1965. He spent four years in the Air Force, serving one year in Vietnam, where he was promoted to sergeant.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Clara Halvorson; his sisters, Joanne Meyer and Vera Anderson; and his brother, Duane Jordan. Two special nephews, Shannon Spradley-Clemons and Leif Halvorson, also preceded Art in death.
Art is survived by his siblings, Sara Baird, Wanda Halvorson, Leah Spurgin (Bob), and Marcus Halvorson (Christina). He was “Uncle Art” to numerous nieces and nephews.
Art loved dogs, especially German Shepherds. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, and he was a talented and skillful builder of model boats.
Art was lovingly cared for at Westview Care Facility during his final months.
There will be no service. A headstone honoring Art will be installed at Vancouver Barracks National Cemetery on Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver, Washington.
