JOANNE CHAMBERS
June 21, 1935 ˜ February 9, 2025
Joanne E. Chambers passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2025, at Persa Senior Living. She was born on June 21, 1935, in New Raymer, CO, to Walter and Beulah Glidewell. Joanne moved to Vancouver, WA in 1942. She graduated from Vancouver High School in 1954, where she met and later married Don Chambers in 1955.
Joanne is survived by her daughters, Arlene Hyke and Cheryl (Ross) Bushaw, and son, Darryl (Stacie) Chambers, sister Carole Wanke and brother Robert Wanke. She was a grandmother to eight grandchildren and great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren.
Her viewing is on Friday Feb. 14 from 12-5 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial. Her memorial service will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church on Hwy 99 on Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. with a reception and refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Johns Lutheran Church or Peace Health Hospice SW.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
