February 15, 1941 ˜ June 5, 2023

Kathleen Welborn Becker; wife, mother, and friend passed away on June 5, 2023, of complications related to renal failure. She was 82.

Born Feb. 15, 1941, in Telluride, CO, to Thomas Franklin Welborn and Eyla McLaughlin, Kathleen and her family traveled extensively around the western United States as her father followed work in the mining and construction industries.

Settling in the town of Westfir, OR, Kathleen graduated from high school in 1959 and moved to Eugene to attend classes at Lane Community College.
Kathleen married Ronald Paulson in November of 1962. During their time together they welcomed daughters Leslie and Kelly to their family.

In 1983, Kathleen married Roger Becker of Vancouver.

She worked in healthcare throughout her career supporting medical offices in Eugene, Portland, and Vancouver. She was passionate about flowers, cooking, knitting, and crocheting. Kathleen is remembered with fondness by the residents and staff of Glenwood. Our family is deeply grateful to the staff of the Glenwood retirement community for their kindness and compassion. They helped increase the quality and length of Kathleen’s life.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia “Trish” Lohn. She is survived by her sister; United States Hall of Fame softball pitcher, Nancy Welborn; husband, Roger Becker; and daughters, Leslie Stahl (Mike) and Kelly Paulson. She is also survived by Roger’s children, Terri Hurley (Jack; deceased), Steve Becker (Kris), and Dave Becker (Yanira).
