Ralph Liedtke Obituary

RALPH LIEDTKE
February 23, 1939 ˜ July 31, 2023

Ralph Willard Liedtke was born Feb. 23, 1939, in Lincoln, NE, to Helen and Kenneth Liedtke. He died at his home in Vancouver, WA, surrounded by family on July 31, 2023.
Ralph loved God, family, sports and traveling in that order. He attended New Heights Church and was very active in his church community group. In the last weeks of Ralph’s life, he indicated to many of his friends that he was not afraid to die because he was very sure about where he was going _ to be with the Lord.
Ralph had a large family. One of the highlights of each year was when the extended family gathered for a weekend at Crooked River Ranch in Central Oregon. These weekends included lots of food, games, stories, movies, Sunday school and wonderful memories made by being together.
Ralph loved sports, both playing and watching. For many years, well into his 30s, he enjoyed playing church league softball and basketball. He especially enjoyed watching Blazer and Mariner games.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Judie Liedtke; and four children, Kenneth (Mary) Liedtke, Todd (Tiffany) Ward, Troy (Heidy) Ward, and Sabrina (David) Worden. He also has two surviving brothers, Gary (Karen) Liedtke and Rich (Joy) Liedtke; in addition to 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James (Lloye) Liedtke; and his children, Kathy, Frederick and Kyle Liedtke.
There will be a celebration of life for Ralph at New Heights Church in Vancouver, WA, on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m.
