Adele Poole Obituary

OSCEOLA - Adele Amanda Ottilie Poole, 95, of Osceola, Nebraska, passed away November 25, 2012 at the Osceola Good Samaritan Society in Osceola.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Osceola with Pastor Robert Perry officiating. No visitation. Interment will be in the Rose Lawn Cemetery in Columbus. Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.

Adele was born September 26, 1917 to Frank and Berth (Brun) Pose in Madison County. She attended country school and graduated from Columbus High School. She then went on to attend the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for two years and received a Bachelors Degree in Education from Ohio University. She was a science teacher for 20 years. Her last teaching job was in Norman, Oklahoma where she was a member of the Methodist Church.

She was united in marriage to Floyd Poole on June 28, 1941 in Platte County.

Floyd passed away January 26, 1983. Adele spent winters at Adobe Wells Park in McAllen, Texas, which is where she met W. James Brigham. They enjoyed travelling and spending time together.

In April 2008, they moved to Osceola where they resided in Ridgeview Heights apartments, where she resided until moving to the Osceola Good Samaritan Society.

She enjoyed playing cards, solitaire and golfing.

Survivors include daughter Lauri Young of Tulsa, Okla.; son Tom Poole of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and special friend W. James Brigham of Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, and son Bob Poole.
