COLUMBUS - Bradley A. Hanlin, 33, of Columbus, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, in an automobile accident north of Columbus.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Reverend Rod Kneifl officiating. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday with a 7 p.m. Vigil Service at the church. Visitation continues Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the church.
Bradley A. Hanlin was born Jan. 4, 1975, in Norfolk to Kurt and Vicky (Escritt) Hanlin. He graduated from Neligh Oakdale High School in 1994 and from Southeast Community College in Milford in 1996 with an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology. On October 10, 1998, he was united in marriage to Sara Pilakowski at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. The couple lived in Columbus where Brad was employed at Columbus Transmission. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, air boating, spending time at his cabin on the river and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Hanlin of Columbus; son, Riley Hanlin of Columbus; father, Kurt (Peg) Hanlin of Elgin; mother, Vicky (Mark) Carstens of Neligh; brother, Jeremy Hanlin of Neligh; sister, Jordyn Carstens of Neligh; step-sisters, Gina (Will) Fischer of Valentine, Angie Kruntorad of Neligh, Tami (Justin) Petersen of Lincoln, and Kara (Jed) Connealy of Whitman; grandparents, John (Carol) Hanlin of Neligh; grandmother, Vella Escritt of Neligh; great-grandmother, Dorothy Escritt of Neligh; in-laws, Virgil (Betty) Pilakowski of Platte Center; sister-in-law, Cheri (Dan) Luedtke of Columbus; brothers-in-law, Rick (Lauralyn) Pilakowski of Columbus, Randy (Amber Stone) Pilakowski of Platte Center; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bernard Escritt; and uncles, Allan Escritt and Steven Howell.
