OMAHA - Cathy Hastreiter, age 52 of Omaha died Thursday, April 4, 2024.

A Celebration of Cathy's Life with a luncheon to follow is at 1:00 pm Sunday, April 14 at Wunderlichs Catering (304 23rd Street) in Columbus.

Cathleen Ann Hastreiter was born April 5, 1971 in Norfolk to Robert and Theresa (Chohon) Hastreiter. She grew up in Madison County and graduated from Madison High School in 1989. Cathy attended Platte College and worked at IBP, Becton Dickinson, ADM, and most recently she worked at American Pharmaceuticals in Omaha.

Cathy enjoyed interior decorating.

Cathy is survived by daughter, Merisa Hastreiter of Omaha; son, Treyvon (Nikki) Hastreiter of Lincoln; parents: Robert and Theresa Hastreiter of Humphrey; sister, Cindy Hastreiter of Omaha; niece, Abigail Hastreiter; and sister, Brenda (Dan) Fernandez of Jerome, ID.

This news about Cathy shocked me!! She was my dear friend whom I shared my thoughts and enjoyed the time we had together. She loved my cat jayjay and took the time to build her a cat house tower.i didn't no her family but offer my sincere condolences to you all. I will truly miss her and I no this world was a better place with her in it. I'm so saddened at your loss. Sincerely her friends Janice and jeff
