Charline R. Brookhouser, of Columbus, formerly of Plattsmouth, Neb., passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Meridian Gardens in Columbus, Neb.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m., Thursday, December 5, 2024, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday at the church. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Neb., at a later date.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Isidore Catholic Church or Paws and Claws of Columbus.
Charline was born in Spencer, Neb., on January 21, 1934, to James and Emma (Kerbel) Holoubek. Charline graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1951. She was united in marriage to Bill Brookhouser on October 16, 1954.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Brookhouser; brothers, Leonard Holoubek, James Holoubek; and sisters, Bernice Nolte and Darlene Blotzer.
Charline is survived by her son, Gregory Brookhouser (Kay Holmes); daughter, Lynne Rambour (George Rambour IV). Six grandchildren, Brooke Cemper (Ted), George "Louie" Rambour V (Paige), Andrea Strong (Joseph), John Brookhouser, Leia Brookhouser, Eric Brookhouser; great-granddaughters, Lenora Cemper, Elsie Cemper, Kendall Cemper, Effie Rambour, Viola Rambour, Summer Strong; and great-grandson, Legan Strong, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services are entrusted to McKown Funeral Home in Columbus.
