Glenn Aldrich, age 89, died Aug. 19, 2018, at Sanford Hospital in Florida.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus.
Glenn was born Sept. 14, 1928, in Marseilles, Illinois, to Harry and Fretta Aldrich. Glenn and his family moved to Columbus in 1945. He worked in the family business at the Keen Korner Motel and Restaurant and Gas Station. Glenn was married to Doris (Morel) Aldrich in 1945. He split time living in Nebraska and Florida before moving to Florida full time in 2013. Glenn enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends.
He is survived by son David Aldrich of Charlotte, North Carolina; nephew Ed Aldrich of Columbus, nephew Randy Aldrich of Denver, nephew Kerry Aldrich of Columbus; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and special friend Jean Hogshead of Dalton, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by parents Harry and Fretta Aldrich, wife Doris Aldrich, brother Orville Aldrich, and daughter Carol Ann Eggli.
