COLUMBUS - Janet Siffring, 81, of Columbus Nebraska, died Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Emerald Nursing & Rehab in Columbus.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, at 10:30 AM, at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Sparling officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, from 9:30 AM until service time, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Janet R. Siffring was born on March 27, 1943, in Shelby, Nebraska, to Rudolph and Ruth (Fischer) Siffring. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus. Janet attended school at a country school in Butler County before attending school in Columbus. She worked part time at a bakery in Columbus in her younger years. She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. Janet was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Janet is survived by: Brother-in-law: Dwaine Jacobson of Columbus, NE; Nephew: Rick Jacobson of Columbus, NE; Niece: Denise (Chuck) McCarthy of Columbus, NE; Great niece & nephew; Great-great nieces & nephews; Janet was preceded in death by: Parents: Rudolph & Ruth Siffring; Sister: Marlene Jacobson; Brother: Dennis Siffring.
