COLUMBUS - Joseph P. Mausbach, 85, of Columbus, formerly of Tarnov, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare in Columbus.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey with the Rev. James M. Buckley officiating. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery at Humphrey.
Visitation will be 3-8:30 p.m. Thursday with a Christian Mothers rosary at 3 p.m. and Scripture and rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Duesman Funeral Chapel in Humphrey. Visitaiton will continue from 8-9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Mausbach was born Jan. 28, 1917, to Henry F. and Agnes (Pillen) Mausbach at Tarnov.
He attended St. Mary's School at rural Humphrey.
He married Florence I. Shemek on Sept. 5, 1964, at Lincoln. He lived in the Tarnov and Humphrey communities.
He was a mechanic and owner of Joe's Repair specializing in tractor, auto and small engines.
He was a past member of the Elks Lodge of Columbus and a past member of the Knights of Columbus, Humphrey Council.
He was a past member of the Tarnov Village board and served as clerk.
He was a member of the church.
Survivors include two sisters, Irene Moran of Eugene, Ore., and Mary Ann Fuchs of Platte Center; two brothers, Vincent (Floreine) Mausbach and James (Delores) Mausbach, all of Columbus and one sister-in-law, Isabel Mausbach of St. Edward.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florence, who died on Oct. 29, 2002,; two sisters, Esther (Lester) Fyfe and Margaret (Carroll) Magsaman and one brother, Francis Mausbach.
