Marlyn D. "Wurdy" Wurdeman

Marlyn D. "Wurdy" Wurdeman, age 88, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Columbus.
Funeral services are 10:30 am Wednesday, December 6 at the Federated Church in Columbus. Visitation is on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until service time, all at the Church. Interment is in Columbus Cemetery.
Marlyn D. Wurdeman was born June 2, 1935, in Platte County to Julius and Ella (Reick) Wurdeman. He attended Kramer High School in Columbus. He married Joan Ahrens in 1956. Marlyn was a lifelong resident of Columbus where he worked for the gas company for over 42 years. He was a member of the Federated Church in Columbus.
He is survived by: Daughter Jackie (Steve) Marker of Columbus, Daughter Lori Slates of Quincey, IL, Daughter Nesrin (Ersan) Kacan of Istanbul, Turkey, 4 Grandchildren; 2 Step Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; 6 Step Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: Parents, Wife, Daughter: Sheri Bostic, 3 Brothers, 1 Sister, Son-in-law: Joe Slates.Arrangements are entrusted with McKown Funeral Home.
