Mary Jo Boro

January 9, 1940 - October 21, 2025

Mary Jo Boro, age 85, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society in Osceola.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., with a 6 p.m. vigil service, all at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. Interment will be held in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Duncan at a later date.

Mary Jo Boro was born January 09, 1940, to Joe and Mary (Borys) Dush. She grew up on the farm in rural Duncan. She worked first at Y-Knot Restaurant then for Dales manufacturing and retired from BDs. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church. Mary Jo enjoyed taking road trips to thrift stores, traveling with her friends, garage sales and gardening.

She is survived by her son, David Boro of Columbus; son, Dale (Pamela) Boro of Seward; son, Donnie Boro of Shelby; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Dush of Lincoln; sister, Annie (Gene) Prososki of Florida; and brother, Conrade (Sue) Dush of Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jo and Mary Dush; husband, Julian Boro; sister, Shirl Krzycki; brother, Richard Dush; and sister-in-law, Gina Dush.
