Roger Olson Obituary
HOLDREGE - A celebration of life service for Roger Lee Olson will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege with Mr. Dave Thorell officiating.
Interment will be held in Moses Hill Cemetery in rural Phelps County, with military rites provided by Martin-Horn American Legion Post 66 in conjunction with the United States Navy Military Honors Team. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family greeting from 6-7:30 p.m., at Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.
He received his education at Pilger, Leigh and Columbus and enlisted in the United States Navy. Roger then began a long career with Becton Dickinson, beginning in Columbus until transferring to Holdrege.
He leaves to celebrate his life his wife, Shirley Olson of Holdrege; two sons, Cory Olson (Jen) of Melbourne, Florida, and R Dusenbery (Shannon) of Lincoln; daughter, Nicole Dusenbery of Holdrege; four grandchildren; two brothers, John Olson (Marlene) and Ralph Olson (Phyllis), all of Columbus; one sister, Cindy Haave (Steve) of Arvada, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Roger's honor and will be designated at a later date. Expressions of caring and kindness can be sent to the family at www.nelsonbauerfh.com.
Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege is in charge of the arrangements.
