Sally O'Hearn, age 87 of Omaha, formerly of Columbus, died July 27, 2018, in Omaha.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. A vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31 at the church with visitation from 4-6 p.m., also at the church. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Sally O'Hearn was born July 20, 1931, in Omaha, to Dr. Zeno and Agnes (Morton) Korth. She grew up in Omaha where she received her education at Duchesne Academy ('49) and Duchesne College in Omaha. She married Thomas J. O'Hearn on June 2, 1951, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Omaha. The family moved to Columbus in 1968.
She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, where she volunteered in the church office and school, took communion to the elderly, was active in the St. Bonaventure Guild, and Scotus Mothers. She worked in the family business, Intro Commodities, until her retirement.
She enjoyed many crafts, especially making rosaries for family, friends and churches around the world. But her greatest joy was in her family, particularly her 12 children and their families. She was most recently a resident at Silver Ridge Memory Care in Gretna where she died surrounded by her family.
Sally is survived by daughter Michaela O'Hearn of Omaha, daughter Patricia (Don) Cieloha of Columbus, daughter Colleen (Masoud) Shirazi of Omaha, daughter Erin (David) Kantor of Lawton, Oklahoma; daughter Bridget (Shawn) Diederich of Lincoln, son Callen (Carol) O'Hearn of Denver, son Kevin (Lyn) O'Hearn of Omaha, son Brian (Cheryl) O'Hearn of Denver, son Terry O'Hearn of Omaha, son Michael (Patti) O'Hearn of Columbus, son Daniel (Carolyn) O'Hearn of San Francisco; 21 grandchildren, six great- grandchildren; sister Judith (Gary) Luick of Henderson, Nevada; brother Richard Korth of Parker Colorado,sister-in-law Josie Korth of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, son Kelly O'Hearn, daughter-in-law Lori (Podraza) O'Hearn, brother Jerry Korth, brother in infancy William Korth, Sister-in-law, Jean Korth and nephew Scott Korth.
