Thelma Veik Obituary
Thelma Veik, 99, of Madison, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at Countryside Home in Madison.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey, with the Rev. Eric Olsen celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in the St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Catholic Church.
Thelma was born June 16, 1920, in Humphrey, to Rochus and Caroline (Foltz) Pfeifer. She graduated from St. Francis High School, and on Sept. 27, 1952, was united in marriage to Arthur Veik at St. Francis Catholic Church. Thelma was a homemaker and did volunteer work in the church office for several years.
Thelma is survived by son, Dick (Lonnie) Veik of Lincoln; son, Tom Veik of Columbus; son, Randy (Judy) Veik of Omaha; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Alvin (Margaret) Pfeifer of Omaha; brother-in-law, Gene Labenz of Humphrey; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Pfeifer of Humphrey.
Thelma was preceded in death by parents, Rochus and Caroline Pfeifer; husband, Arthur Veik; sisters: Florence Pfeifer, Eileen Labenz, Sister Helen Ann Pfeifer, OSF, and Bernie Boesch; brothers: Bill Pfeifer, Melvin Pfeifer, and Brother Roch Pfeifer, OFM.Condolences may be sent to www.duesmanfc.com
