Twila Irene Neuwirth, 87, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at Columbus Care and Rehabilitation.
A funeral service honoring her life will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at the Bible Baptist Church in Columbus. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bible Baptist Church and will continue from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, also at the church.
Twila Neuwirth was born July 25, 1931, in Brunswick, Nebraska, to Frank and Luella (Keetle) Armstrong. She grew up on a farm in the Brunswick area until she married Harold Louis Brinkman on July 17, 1947, in Casper, Wyoming. They moved to Oregon City, Oregon, where their five children were born. In 1967, Twila and her children moved to Columbus, Nebraska, where she became a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Twila married Harry E. Neuwirth on Dec. 4, 1979. Twila worked at Dale Electronics (Vishay) for over 26 years as a printer and then retired. She then worked part time for several years.
Twila is survived by her sons, Dennis (Rita) Brinkman of Oregon City, Oregon, Dale (Christine) Brinkman of Columbus, Nebraska and Charles (Leanne) Brinkman of Columbus, Nebraska; daughter, Lorelie (Randy) Anderson of Columbus, Nebraska; daughter-in-Law, Janet Brinkman of Columbus, Nebraska; sisters, June Wilgocki of Columbus, Nebraska and Deanna Kleider of Springfield, Nebraska; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry E. Neuwirth; son Frankie Brinkman; sisters, Luetta Gay Harriman and Leatrice Behnk; brother, Daniel Armstrong; granddaughter, Abigail Harriman; and grandson, Robert Brinkman.
