Much love to you and your family during this most difficult time. My prayers are with you all.
Joe held a special place in my life during our years at Overton. He was especially gracious and helpful to me during my difficult moments in calculus with Mrs. Gates and my not so stressed moments in Latin with Miss Mitchell.
I will miss my classmate!
Love you!

Anita, your thoughts & prayers helped pull me thru the last year in ways I can't express. Please know my & Jo Ann's prayers are with you now. I know my intellect never quite matched Joe's, but he made my life more enjoyable trying to keep up with him. I also know he will me missed, but for whatever reason these are God's plans. I guess He wanted Joe's shining soul to brighten our Heaven just a little more. Please be strong in God's name.

Dear Anita,
My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you and your family, and to Joseph's family. We may never understand why he passed so soon, but know that God promised us to bring comfort in time of loss. I have enjoyed singing with and knowing Joe, for he was a humble man. I know by faith that to be absent from here is to be present with his Lord Jesus that is the call of all God's children. My prayers are with you.

Anita, I was saddened to hear about Joe's death. For the years that Grace and I were in the chorus, I had the pleasure of sitting next to Joe on many occasions. Over that time, we established a fine friendship. Joe was such a genuinely nice person, and it was so clear that there wasn't a pretentious or self serving bone in his body. I will always be thankful to have know him and hope that I can in some small way carry that quality to others that I come in contact with. I know that only time can dull the sharp edge of grief, and even then, the void will always be there, but the memories you have of Joe will always be in your heart. I hope you can find comfort in that knowledge. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Anita,

We struggle with our faulty reasoning to understand why we are left behind while those we love are called home. But Joe’s labors here have finished and his new life in Christ is beginning. Through loss and longing, try to take comfort that Joe rejoices in the victory that was to him given by God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
My prayers are with you.
