CANDACE SUTER ETTER
LUCASVILLE —Candace Suter Etter, 73 of Lucasville died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. She was born May 27, 1945 in Portsmouth to the late Thomas E. and Gracie McCoy Suter. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son; Jon Gregory Staten and a sister; Catherine Kiser. She was a member of the American Legion Post 23 Auxiliary and a member of Southern Ohio Autism Project.
Candace is survived by a son; Michael Lynn Staten of San Diego, California, a brother; Thomas Suter Jr. of Wheelersburg, 2 sisters; Patty Gilmore of Minnesota and Jackie McDermott of Friendship, and 4 grandchildren; David Staten, Daniel Staten, Michelle Staten, and Ryan Etter.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Brandon Gilmore officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday starting at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Autism Project in Candace's memory. Candace was a very smart girl. I remember her from the spelling bees and how well she did in English Scholarship in high school. My condolences to the family
