Our condolences to the Vanacore family. I was always in awe of my cousin Fred's experiences during The war, and got to know him well when we worked together doing landscape gardening on Long Island. Also, I will never forget how great he looked in his Fire Dept.uniform. I was thrilled as a kid when he gave me a tour of the fire department, including the marvelous kitchen.
He was MY hero, and someone to look up to as a young man in Brooklyn.
"Rest in peace, Fred,"
Your cousin Thomas Cappadona with Doris and family

My sincere condolences to Kathleen and all of Fred's family and to Cheryl, Fred's kind Caretaker. It is such a great loss. Fred was an awesome man. I enjoyed the conversations and short visits I had with Fred when he so lovingly came to Harris Hill to see his Sweetheart Kathleen, whom he missed dearly while they were apart. I am grateful that our paths briefly crossed. Peace be with him and his family.
