Allison Hardy Obituary

Allison Mae Hardy, 35, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She was the daughter of Jeff and Mary Hardy of Loudon. Allison was born in Concord and attended Merrimack Valley High school, graduating in 2000. Allison had an infectious smile along with the most beautiful icy blue eyes. She attended Loudon Elementary School and participated in various activities including girl scouts and town baseball. She loved playing with her cousins and entertained family members at birthday parties dressing up and role playing in musical skits. She and her brother spent countless hours outside with the boys next door building forts and playing in the sandbox.

As a child, she was introduced to and took a liking to fishing and spent many family vacations at Moosehead Lake in Maine. Other family adventures included kayaking, biking, rafting and cross country skiing. Whether in the pool or the lake she was an avid swimmer, despite nagging ear infections when having to wear the "dreaded ear plugs and bathing cap." In high school, she was a member of the ski club where her high degree of persistence emerged after countless spills and falls, never giving up. On one of her summer vacations Allison joined the Student Conservation Association and spent six weeks in the New Hampshire woods reconstructing a mountain side trail.

She possessed an extraordinary skill of puzzle making and for a time sold unique framed pieces. Allison loved horses and had an extensive painted pony collection proudly displayed in her apartment. The most important thing to Allison was family and celebrating the holidays together. She loved Halloween and would start decorating in September. She was always up for a scary movie particularly after trick-or-treating which became a family tradition. She so loved her two children and enjoyed fun filled afternoons with them at Elm Brook State Park. Allison referred to these kids as her "miracle babies" and her mission in life was to provide a good life and make them happy.

Allison had numerous obstacles to overcome but was never without a smile and would always help anyone in need. She learned to appreciate the little and simple things in life, never giving up on personal goals no matter the odds. Her heart was big and her spirit strong.

In addition to her parents, Allison is survived by her two children, Tyson and Irish, ages six and three respectively; brother, Lucas and his wife, Monica; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A service will be held on Thursday afternoon, April 6, at 3 p.m. at St Paul's Church in Concord, followed by coffee and light snacks in the adjoining upper parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Allison's memory may be made to St Paul's church, or to our GoFundMe campaign for Tyson and Irish.

Jeff and Mary, my wife and I lost a son three years ago in February. He too was 35. It's the hardest thing a parent can go through and no one who hasn't gone through it can understand. I'm not sure i understand it even now. I wish I could offer you more than condolences. I will pray for you, your daughter, and your grandchildren.
