The Wellesley class of 1956 recently held our 65th reunion (virtually, of course) and there was certainly a "missing person."
I note that Anne's middle name was "Delight"...and that she was. I can just imagine what she would be thinking and saying of the current political situation..and that she would be cheering President Biden's legislative agenda!
Here is Anne with two friends at our 35th reunion)
We all miss her!

Ellen, Liz and Sarah, we were so sorry to hear of your moms passing. What a wonderfully accomplished individual she was in addition to being a great mom. Much love from our family to all of yours. Love Bill and Xanthi Manias

While we were not close friends during our college years, Anne was one of my favorite Wellesley classmates. We spent time together at reunions and served as class officers in the late '80's...and re-uned in NYC when she visited her daughter. I loved her spirit, her sense of social justice, her politics. I miss her.

Ellen, So very sorry to hear about your moms passing. I remember meeting her and your dad at your house, when you and I were in theater in high school. She was very sweet as was your dad. My heart goes out to you and your family

Oh, the wonderful memories of Anne as we shared many years of worshiping and volunteering together at the UU Church of Manchester, NH. Anne gave so much to the church community through her remarkable leadership and gracious spirit. And it was always a delight when Kimon attended the many social functions too. My condolences to to all the family.

Anne was one of the most remarkable women we've had the privilege to know and she'll be missed. If more of us could use and share even half the talent and intellect she so wisely used, the world would be a better place. Knowing and working with Anne in the UU church in Manchester was an inspiration for thirty+ years and putting together Susan B. Anthony events in the '80s was an extraordinary experience!
Your family was fortunate with two special parents and we hope your happy memories have been seeing you through this tough time.

I got to know Anne while part of Manchesters historic Interrogation Club, and so enjoyed her papers shared in this most amazing collection of women whose curiosity and research was every month a delight, like Annes middle name. She was a force and a wonderful example how women should be. Sympathy to her family.

My deepest sympathy to all of you. Anne was quite a force in our community and beyond, and her daughters are her greatest legacy. Know that I remember her fondly from many organizations, the last of which was Interrogation, where her erudite comments and presentations continued to enrich our circle. Please accept my very deepest sympathy on your profound loss.
Warmly,

I enjoyed any opportunity to speak with Anneshe modeled a complete version of what it means to be an empowered woman. It is beyond unfair for life to have stripped her of the intelligent mind that was at the pinnacle of her many assets. At this time Im also remembering the most lovely tribute your dad did many years ago in the N.H. Womens fund to all of his four women. Ladies, you were blessed with two amazing parents! Rest In Peace Anne.

Anne was a gracious, intelligent woman who volunteered her time to help others in many ways and to support causes and candidates she believed in. Craig and I and others have missed her presence since she left Manchester and were sorry to lose her from the UU Church of Manchester.

Loved working with Ann on the Manchester YWCA's Susan B Anthony event and appreciated her skills and honesty. She always spoke so warmly of her family and influenced good change in Manchester over the years. Condolences to family and friends who valued her so much.

Your mother was an inspiration. I was thinking about her just yesterday, the day she died.... That just shows how strong her spirit was. I will never forget her. I am sad for you all, as her death marks a physical end to her life, even though I acknowledge that you lost her some years ago. We will all remember her the way she was--vibrant, interested, lively, happy. And really intelligent.
