My first memory of Aunt Annette was when I attended her wedding to Uncle Kyle. I must have been around four or five. It was always exciting to take a road trip, especially to Maine, where I would see my cousins Marsha and Margaret Akeley. I thought Aunt Annette was the most beautiful bride I had ever seen. She had such a radiant smile and a sweet face. As her (and our) family grew, we looked forward to their visits to Maryland, when we would get to see our new cousins. Aunt Annette was always a sweet and kind presence. It was always good to hear how she was doing and that she had a good life. Sending my condolences to all the family.
