Brittany is a beautiful soul. I always found her so inspiring the way she could connect to anyone. I would see her having an engaging conversation with grown men and women and in the next moment interacting just as comfortably with little boys and girls. She had a special connection with so many animals at the farm. Usually the ones that others were afraid of all others or that others were afraid of. The large beaked parrots and one of the most spirited horses, Koda. I would see him standing for her gentle as a lamb while she brushed his mane. In the next moment he would dart off and she took it all calmly in stride. She demonstrated so much fearlessness to work through her struggles to achieve this greatness of adaptability and vibrancy. Embracing her adaptability and connectedness, she has now transformed to her true self and gifted her grace and inspiring fearlessness and vibrancy to each of us. And her special connection with you, Debbi - truly beautiful. I remember you helping her ride Teddy and as Brittany startled a moment she said, "Mommy!" and the way you cooed to her gently and calmed her... there was just so much beauty and sweetness in that one moment that said so much. I shared that with Cesar that evening and we both shared our admiration for that kind of loving relationship. Brittany is a beautiful soul.

Its been 1 month already. Seems like just yesterday. I think of you everyday.

To Debbie, Bev, Mimi and family. I am so sorry to learn that Brittany has gone to be with the Lord. She was a very special young lady - full of fun and thoughtfulness. She always loved her own animals, and I see that love of animal creatures extended beyond her own. Certainly many who wrote here admired her work with animals at the farm. I extend my sympathies to each of you and hope you will soon find peace now that Brittany suffers no more. My prayers go up for you.

The first time I held you in my arms, my precious granddaughter, you were only a couple of hours old. I knew then how very special you were, and I knew you were destined for greatness. You were my special companion and I always cherished the wonderful times we had together. You were a bright, shining, star for me and so many people and creatures alike. You loved us all and wanted to help the world, and we all thank you for your generous, caring, and loving nature and for letting us share the love you had to offer in your short life. Today I cannot understand, and the pain of your loss is unbearable. I miss you more than words can say, and the truth is, life will never be the same again. But we will all try to live our lives by your example, and be better people for the time that you were able to share with us, for you have touched so many of us, and we carry your spirit in our hearts forever. For the time that I had with you, I am so very grateful. I love you so very much, my prescious Brittany, and one day I hope to be with you again. For now, may we all have the strength to carry on your work, as I know you would want us to do.

Brittany was a beautiful, funny and smart young lady. She was kind and warm. An animal lover who brimmed with excitement when she spoke of her pets and of all the animals she was in love with.

Living so far away, her Australian family didnt get to spend the time with her that we wished. I know that she knew how much we loved her. She came to stay with us earlier this year and when she arrived we cherished every moment.
Her baby brother Boston was so happy to see her and her new baby brother Brady got the chance to be held in her arms. Her cousin Justin got to hang out at Disney land with her and i know they finally got to know each other. We love you Brittany.
Your loving Aunt, Lisa Michelle Searing

It is clear from this book and the lovely things that have been written that everyone felt the same. She was kind and warm

Debbi, I can't stop thinking about your loss of Brittany...my heart is aching for you at this sad, unimaginable time. Your memories of her & how close the two of you were will always be preserved in your beautiful scrapbooks. Looking through them will bring you comfort in remembering her wonderful childhood that you gave to her. Thinking of you & your family now.

Brittany always had the insight to know when I was sad or having a hard day up at the farm, and she always came to me to offer words of encouragement and gave me a sense of comfort when I needed it. She has taught me a valuable lesson, I hope to always carry, for she would overlook her own troubles, and take on others to make them feel better, and she apparently did this with many people, and well, we all know her gift with all our animal friends was amazing. She was a young woman so very wise and kind beyond her years. Thank you to Deb for bringing her to us, and I hope you pull the strength you will need from everyone that was touched by this amazing girl.

Words can not express the sadness our family felt for your loss of your beautiful daughter. Brittany and my daughter Hunter were good friends and we have many pictures of them together over our house. Whether it was a water balloon fight or a cookout, Brittney's smile always lite up the room:) The two of them looked so much alike that we always referred to Brittany as Hunter's twin! We extend our love to you and your family.

I met Brittany at Live and Let Live Farm. Everything about her was genuine -- her smile, her way of interacting with others. I could see that animals felt safe in her presence and they gravitated toward her because of her calm, sweet spirit. There's no doubt her spirit will live on at LLLF and inspire more people to widen their circle of compassion to all animals. That's what Brittany would want more than anything I think.

Scott Philbrick

August 25, 2012

I only knew Brittany through our common work volunteering at Live and let Live Farm. I don't think I've ever known a more lovely smile. It is not often that a 50 year old man finds himself inspired by a 15 year old girl, but Brittany sure inspired me to give more of myself to help God's creatures. I am blessed by having known her, even briefly. Such a precious, precious child. Thank you for sharing her with the world.

Debbi I know there are no words to comfort you with the loss of your child Brittany. I know that she was an old soul here on earth to do alot in a short amount of time. She came here knowing she was only here for 15 earth years she knew g her time was short she planned and told of her wants after her final moment.I don't know how it hurts with the loss of a child.Only someone who has can understand.I do know that Brittany is safe and on the other side and she does not want you to be sad for long and to go on with your life helping the animals that she so loved.Once you have moved thru your grief pay attention to the signs that I know she will be giving you, to tell you that she only left this earth plane, but her spirit, her essence is with you every moment.Only our bodies die,the true us is energy which never dies. Talk to Brittany she hears you. Watch for bird, animals that are unusual or out of place. Butterfly's,dragonflies that land and stay. Watch for feathers, coins in weird places, lights flickering, electronics going off or on,her picture falling. She will be trying to tell you that she is OK. My caring thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

She was so very, very special
And was so from the start
You held her in your arms
But mainly in your heart
And like a single drop of rain
That on still waters fall,
Her life did ripples make
And touched the lives of all.
She's gone to play with angels
In heaven up above
So keep your special memories
And treasure. them with love
Although your darling daughter
Was with you just a while
She'll live on in your heart
With a sweet remembered smile. Author unknown

Dear Brittany,
Thank you for taking care of us, for feeding us, for loving us, for making us feel safe and mostly for making us feel special. We know you're waiting for each and every one of us. Your devotion to us was unrivaled, your love for us unmistaken. We will miss you and your loving touch, your understanding gaze and your vibrant spirit. We are better beings for having felt your love. God must of needed an angel at the rainbow bridge, and he got the best. It's time to help the animals in heaven now. You touched us all and we will remember you forever. The gate keeper at the rainbow bridge now, we will see you one day. "some people talk to animals, not many people listen though" Thank you for listening Brittany. -Love - the animals

I remember the first time, so many years ago, when I met Brittany. She gave me a great big hug and then hung on my arm, chattering away. She had a special quality about her, a heart as big as all outdoors. She could make the most scared animal trust her. The world has lost a bright and shining light. I will never forget her. I love and pray for Deb. You can be sure Brittany is doing what she does best where she is now. See you again, Brittany. I love you.
