Caitlin Donohue Obituary

Caitlin Reed Donohue

Concord, NH — Caitlin Reed Donohue was born in Concord, NH on May 10, 1988 to Jane Reed Dodson and Brian Donohue, Jr.

In high school, she ran cross-country and track, skied on the Nordic team, belonged to the CHS orchestra, loved Latin class and developed an interest in social issues, which would remain a common thread throughout her life.

Caitie graduated from Tulane University in 2010, where she fell in love with New Orleans. She was on the Tulane cheerleading team and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

Caitie was kind, funny, and always down for an adventure. She loved to travel, was an avid reader and bird watcher, loved to cook and paint, and volunteered with Americorps, The Audubon Society and LOPA.

Caitie passed away on June 11, 2022 at the age of 34 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Caitie leaves behind her mother, Jane, and her beloved sister, Lexie, her father and stepmother, Brian and Phyllis Donohue, her brother, Tyler Donohue, her maternal grandparents, Richard and Barbara Reed, and paternal grandparents, Brian and Carolyn Donohue, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends.

We will gather to celebrate Caitie's life on Saturday, July 30 from 4-7 pm at the Concord Country Club in Concord, NH.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, or any animal charity of your choice. Caitie would also have loved people to donate blood or platelets as often as possible.

Dear Jane and Family,

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Caitie. Jane, even though I never met her, I know in my heart that she had to be special simply because she was your daughter. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you. May Caitie rest in peace. ~ Jane Mammone Darrell

Dear Jane,
How saddened I am to hear of your loss. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a child as I lost my son sometime ago. She must have been so like her mother. I will always remember you and have thought of you so many times since we worked together. You, like she, was always so full of life and it was always a pleasure to be with you. My heart goes out to you. Mary Mazur
