Carol Dunlap Obituary

Carol Lee Dunlap

Concord, NH — Carol Lee (Michiels) Dunlap, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away at Concord Hospital on October 5, 2021.

She was born September 28, 1932, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, the only child of Walter and Amelia (Titcomb) Michiels. Carol graduated from Manchester Central Highschool, class of 1950.

Soon after attending Lassell College, she met her late husband David. They married and lived in Bedford where they had 2 daughters Jill and Jody and then later moved to Concord where she later found her calling with selling real estate.

When Carol wasn't walking land or showing houses, she shared her time volunteering throughout the entire Concord community.

Carol will always be remembered for the everlasting love of her family, attending celebrations, chocolate, being a queen and most of all; sharing all her historical knowledge to her Great-Grandchildren for who she cherished dearly.

She leaves behind her daughters; Jill (Dunlap) Locke and husband, Harvey, of Rochester, NH. Jody Dunlap and husband, Daniel, of Concord, NH. Granddaughters; Julie (Gaffey) Duddy, and husband, Christopher, along with their 4 sons; Nicholas & wife Rachel, Ryan, Nathan & Derek of Londonderry. Sara Dunlap and daughters Daisy & Bella LaPlante of Concord. Amanda Locke & children Kylie & Ryder of Rochester, Katrina Locke of Milton, and many dear-close friends in her community.

Those who wish to remember Carol in a special way, please make gifts in her memory to Granite VNA of Concord or South Congregational Church of Concord.

A heartfelt thank you to the Granite VNA for all the years Carol received services.

Mrs. Dunlap was a wonderful model to the neighborhood girls. I will always remember her as a confident, intelligent, beautiful woman, who was so gracious to me when I visited her home. My deepest condolences to the family.

We have lost a dear, sweet friend and mentor. I will forever love her kindness, humor, support and mentoring in real estate when I was a newbie. But my first memories if Carol was from the 1970s when she was teaching early American tole painting, first at her home on Spring St. and then in Contoocook. Such incredible talent and so able to teach. Many talented people cannot teach, but she could. It led to lifelong arts for me from oils to watercolor to pastels. She is a candle in the wind and will forever be remembered by me. I love you Carol, my friend.
