Dana Crawford Bogart Jr.

Lyman, ME - Dana Crawford Bogart, Jr., lovingly known as Bogie, passed away peacefully at home in Lyman, ME on March 9, 2025, after a lengthy illness at MMC in Portland, ME. He was a graduate of the Concord High School NH class of 1971.

Shortly after graduating he began a career with First National Food Stores. Over several years he rose to the level of store manager after starting at an entry level. He traveled and lived in several places such as Caribou and Presque Isle. At the age of 30 he attended NHVTC in Concord to become a Master Electrician. After graduating, he began his apprenticeship with R&T Electric and continued until becoming self-employed in 1992. For over 30 years he worked in ME, NH, and VT. He ended his career with his ideal job as the house electrician at the Franciscan Guest House in Kennebunkport. There he made many great friends and enjoyed his time.

He is predeceased by his parents Dana Sr. and Frances (Ahern) Bogart.; sisters, Ruthann Gold of Arlington, MA, Catherine (Trinka) Lynch of Concord and nephew, Daniel Mead of Leominster, MA.

He is survived by his devoted partner of 20 years, Jane Mitchell. They lived a full life of traveling, spending time with their two grandsons, Liam and Rory and enjoying their wonderful family and friends. Their retirement was highlighted by their intimate circle of friends, a social gathering from which he will truly be missed. Yet, their favorite time was spending afternoons on their front porch reading and perhaps a cocktail!

Bogie is survived by his sister Lynne Mead (her late husband, Ernie). His nieces and nephews include Tracey MacRae and husband, Steven of Epsom, NH, JJ Gold (Dad, Steve) and wife, Jessica of Framingham, MA. His grand-nieces and nephews include Jordan MacRae, wife Asia and children of Litchfield, NH, Molly MacRae, husband Chris Joslin of Medford, MA; Brian Lynch of Manchester, NH, Jimmy Lynch of VT and

Valarie Fairchild and children of Fairbanks, AK. He also leaves his godmother, Great Aunt Betty, Elizabeth Lamphier of Marshfield, MA. Bogie enjoyed spending time with Jane's family including her daughter Lindsay (husband Colin) and grandsons, Liam and Rory; and son, Gregory Mitchell of Orlando, FL. Jane's sisters and their families have played a big part in his life. He is also survived by his former wife Anne Bogart of Venice, FL. Bogie cherished his memories of his close friends from Concord, the Thursday Night Riders and sends his farewell to all.

At Bogie's request, a celebration will take place at a later date.
