Scott and Brett and family. I've been having a hard time knowing what to say. One thing for sure,Darrel was an ace mechanic since I started up with him at the Texaco. He sure was a people person and I know he'll be missed even though he was fading at the end. My sincerest and deepest thoughts from Marie.

Hard to put into words a man like Darrel. Mary and I first met him when I moved to Sutton in 1979. He was down-to-earth, not pretentious, honest, hardworking, and dedicated to the town of Sutton. Along with Bob Bristol and Roy Prince, he served with distinction as Selectman. He did the same as our outstanding Fire Chief. He earned respect from those, like myself, who had the honor of knowing him and working beside him. His New England outlook on life and humor, even in difficult times, were refreshing. Knowing him changed my life in very positive ways. The debt I owe to him can never be repaid!

I worked for Darrel at Main Street Texaco summers during high school and college. Much of what I know about auto mechanics I learned from Darrel. A great mechanic and a great guy to work for. He'll be missed.

To Wendy and Family, So sorry to hear this sad news. Your dad helped pull my car out of the ditches alongside our driveway more than once during the winters! I think he got a kick out of seeing a flatlander trying to navigate NH winters! Sending condolences to all.
