Donald Hayes Obituary

Donald Ambrose Hayes Jr.

Concord, NH - Donald Ambrose Hayes Jr., of Greeley St. Concord, NH went to meet the Lord on August 9th, 2024. Don was the first of three sons born to Donald Hayes Sr and Pearl Ann (Lemay) Hayes of Concord May 29, 1957. He attended St John's Regional School and Bishop Brady High School later transferring to Concord High School where he graduated in 1976.

After high school he found himself following in his father's footsteps and entered the building trades. He spent many years traveling New England finally settling in with Milestone Construction and Engineering as a job supervisor. In his over 30-year career with them he faithfully oversaw projects until his medical retirement in December of 2023.

When not working Don enjoyed time with his family, traveling, snowmobiling, boating, motorcycles and having fun. Don loved fun and was often the life of the party. He had a big heart never afraid to lend a hand or his time and knowledge to help out a friend or family member. If you were hanging out with Don you were certain to be smiling and laughing, his laughter was contagious. Don enjoyed traveling with his Aunt Julie and they experienced many places North Dakota, the Midwest, South Dakota, Vermont and many other places. Aunt Julie would say he was an excellent traveling companion.

Don is predeceased by his parents Donald Hayes Sr and Pearl Ann Hayes. He is survived by his favorite Aunt Julie Hayes of Portsmouth NH Uncle Dan Hayes of Minnesota Aunt Virginia Rasch(Hayes) of Florida, Brothers Mark Hayes and Wife Brenda Hayes of Loudon NH, and Joel Hayes and wife Vicky Hayes of North Carolina. His Nephew Nick Hayes and children Nick, Maddie, Liam and Cal of Loudon NH. Also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was a great friend. We played youth hockey together. Went to high school together, auto shop. Many times at Broad Cove 4 wheeling with trucks. Boating. Snowmobiling. Enjoyed it when he would visit us in Vermont. He will be missed. And yes, a contagious laugh. Pine and Marge Audet
